Remembering Colin

Created by Terry 3 years ago

I first met Colin after joining the Milton Keynes Aces in 1986, I had just arrived from the United States to work at RAF Lakenheath. He was Chairman and sponsor and it was the first time I had been associated with such a professional and committed Chairman. I had played wheelchair basketball for 12 years, three different teams, but the Aces were something different. They were a well run organization with top leaders like Colin and committed players who supported each other in basketball and life. I believe this comes from the top and that Colin's association with the team was key to it's success. I left the UK in 1989 to return home, but have the fondest memories of playing for the Aces and being associated with people like Colin. I have only seen him a few times since then, but each time it was as if no time had passed.

He will be greatly missed and was much loved by everyone who knew him.
